Interesting, though: Some societies and cultures have ‘segmented’ sleep patterns, where people are up in the middle of the night for a little while and then go back to sleep, and some insist that we do all of our sleep at once and then wake up and go do things. Uninterrupted sleep vs segmented!

On a personal level, I’m working on a document for generating dungeon delvers, specifically with an eye towards solo gaming. I don’t want to roll 3d6 x 6 to generate a dungeon delver- I just want to roll my standard set of dice and get a new knave to send to their doom.
Here’s a preview. Art is by the always talented Evlyn Moreau in the background, there.
Still working on entries, although I did find time to create a chart of minor magic items / starter spells by race, indexed with the d8 hit point / background table.
Here’s a screenshot of the full tables. Still a work in progress; all spells are designed to be easy to adjucate and to be interesting enough that I remember roughly what they do (or don’t mind making it up) without having to write down six hundred spells or whatever.
You can also use this for when/if you generate an NPC spellcaster, or want to pillage an ancient Dwarven tomb, or whatever. In my solo generator’s rules, any one given character has a 1/10 chance to get one of these instead of starting with armor. Spells are items, too (it’s a Knavelike, at heart), so they stick around persistently through successive waves of dungeon crawlers.
